Probating Estates

The death of a loved one can be a very difficult time filled with many important decisions, as well as the complicated process of probate. Probate usually follows a three step process: 1) inventory and collection of assets of the estate, 2) Payment of the estate’s debts and taxes and the costs of estate administration from the estate’s assets, and 3) Distribution of the estate in accordance with the will or if there is no will, then according to Wisconsin’s statutes.
